After cutting up the first video I was bothered with all of the green grass taking away from the focal point I was trying to achieve in a rough edit. Walter Murch talks about second guessing himself from his first thoughts on what scenes work and what scenes dont. Second guessing yourself isnt a bad thing, it can open up other doors and options for editing. I then realized that if it is really taking that much attention away from a piece, why not work with it as a piece. The grass in this piece has now gone from something to avoid to something to watch. The sinner becomes a saint.
